Arriving in Cleveland as an adult, she lived at Laura’s Home for four months. From there she immediately began giving back to the community that helped her. Alfrie has committed to serving her community and promoting self sufficency.
Alfrie believes, “God reminds me that all it takes is for me to plant the seed; somebody else is going to come water it, somebody is going to fertilize it, somebody else is going to bring it sunshine and then somebody is going to watch it grow. It’s not important for me to see all the stages but just that I planted the seed.”
